The rolling mill in Cisterna di Latina is a vertically integrated plant: a slab casthouse, hot and cold rolling mills and finishing lines in one process chain. The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative register lists aluminium remelting and casting for the company alongside rolling and heat treatment, which places it among rolling mills with their own scrap loop. The company declares that it accepts return material from customers in order to lower the carbon footprint of the product. The product range covers soft and hard alloys in a very wide thickness band, from foil to sheet. The subsidiary Slim Merseburg GmbH operates in Germany. Casthouse capacity has not been announced. The plant near Rome is vertically integrated: a casthouse with two melting and casting lines with capacity of 120 kt per year, a hot and breakdown mill, two foil mills and a foil finishing mill, eleven annealing furnaces and six slitting lines. Rolling capacity reaches about 95 kt per year with thickness range from 6 µm to 6 mm, covering the full foil range: household, packaging, container, capacitor and closure foil, as well as circles for cookware. Its customers are the packaging, automotive, electronics and cosmetics industries. The group has a total of over 170 kt of capacity at the Cisterna, Fusina and Merseburg plants; the Fusina plant was acquired from Arconic.
