Swarf scrap processor at Via Mandolossa 132 in Gussago in the province of Brescia, providing a service on behalf of foundries and machining plants. The company declares 5.2 kt of waste processed per year on three installations; it accepts non-ferrous swarf and turnings with codes 12 01 03 and 19 12 03, and returns material dried and pressed into briquettes suitable directly for the furnace. The process line includes size screening of swarf, de-ironing with a magnetic drum and thermal drying, in which oils and oil emulsions are removed by oxidation, and finally press briquetting. The process has been certified as compliant with Regulation (EU) No 333/2011, so the briquettes cease to be waste. The company states a recovery of around 790 kg of metal per tonne of waste received.
