At Marktl near Lilienfeld Neuman operates a casthouse, extrusion plant and indirect extrusion on one site, and the company states that the casthouse processes 50 kt of selected aluminium melted at 750 °C per year. This charge yields 60 kt of discs per year for packaging and automotive and 20 kt of forging stock, with the forging stock declared as 95% secondary material with a footprint of 0.9 kg CO2 per kilogram of aluminium. Horizontal continuous casting yields bars of 45–203 mm diameter in the 6xxx, 1xxx, 2xxx, 3xxx, 4xxx and 7xxx alloy groups, followed by homogenisation. The plant serves as the metal base for the Neuman group itself and for its sister company PREFA. The group employs over 2,700 people at eight locations, of which over 1,200 in Marktl together with PREFA. The share of externally purchased scrap relative to in-house circulation is not announced. The group operates ten plants in five countries and in 2024 achieved revenue of around EUR 550 million with approx. 2,500 employees. The technologies include horizontal continuous casting, cold indirect extrusion, direct extrusion and profile machining: cutting, milling, welding, bending and assembly. The target markets are mobility, construction, packaging, electrical engineering and general industry. The company does not publish capacity in tonnes.
