- Note: The largest Romanian profile extrusion plant, described as one of the leading extruders in Europe, operates in Slatina next to Alro and uses its foundry as a source of ingots. The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative register lists for the company only extrusion and processing, without its own remelting – its share in the scrap loop is therefore indirect, through returns of circulating scrap to the group’s foundry. The company belongs to the vertically integrated Vimetco group. The ASI Performance Standard V2 certificate is valid until August 2026. The finished product capacity has not been disclosed publicly. The extrusion plant in Slatina operates in the same industrial complex as the ALRO smelter and rolling mill, using domestic metal supply. The Romanian centre in Slatina is the only arrangement in the country combining electrolysis, rolling and extrusion in one place. The capacity has not been confirmed in a primary source.
