- Note: The remelter in Lucé near Chartres has operated since 1959 and produces 62 kt per year of extrusion billets from secondary aluminium. Feed is profile scrap collected from French extrusion plants (production scrap) and post-consumer scrap from the dismantling of aluminium joinery, used to make Hydro CIRCAL. In November 2022 the plant was the first in France to obtain DNV certification for the production of Hydro CIRCAL (min. 75% post-consumer scrap). It employs 45 people. A separate Hydro Extrusions Lucé plant with two presses and an anodising plant (approx. 160 people) operates on the same site; in August 2023 the group announced an investment of NOK 67 million there; customers are the construction, automotive and transport sectors.
