It works on die casting machines with clamping force from 280 to 1,900 t and offers seven different aluminium alloys – in practice the family of secondary alloys AlSi9Cu3 and AlSi12 supplemented by grades with aesthetic requirements. ### Scornicești plant (Scornicești, Romania)

- Link: die and permanent-mould foundry
- Status: operating
- Metals: aluminium
- Coordinates: 44.601, 24.543

- Note: The second of the company's two Romanian foundries, indicated by the owner together with the Pitești plant. It carries out aluminium die casting with a strong emphasis on subsequent machining and powder coating of parts with aesthetic requirements. The feed is secondary AlSi casting alloys; the company declares seven grades in use. In this analysis Romania is an example of a country where die casting has developed without a primary aluminium smelter of its own serving the automotive industry.
